Entering the circle of Ringo, the latest design by Joan Gaspar.

On the 18th of July we presented Joan Gaspar’s latest design for Marset to the public. Toasting with Brutus beers, we were able to chat and catch up with members of Barcelona’s design and lighting community.

Joan Gaspar, who welcomed us to his new studio in Sarrià, explained all the details and particular features of his new creation. Where does the inspiration to create Ringo come from? There’s a need to fill the large spaces so typical of contemporary architectural trends with emotion.

Ringo is a large-volume lamp designed for spaces with height and depth. But it’s surprising feature is the transparent polycarbonate it’s made from, with a solid yet lightweight appearance and a texture that creates optical reflections, creating a dialogue between light and matter.

Ringo is available in a ceiling version – with a fixed rod or recessed – and a pendant version, in two sizes of 70 cm and 90 cm, and in four finishes: transparent, green, amber and smoke. It’s also available in three colour temperatures: 2700K, 3000K and 4000K.

Thanks to everyone who attended, it’s always a pleasure to have you with us.
