The Bohemia wins the iF Design Award

The Bohemia lamp by Joan Gaspar has just received the IF Design Award, an international recognition of its design excellence.

The IF Design Award spans 9 disciplines that include 78 categories. In the lighting category, the Bohemia was selected by a jury of 98 design experts who appreciated and honoured its unique shape and originality.

The Bohemia’s design is characterised by its organic, exciting and translucent profile, which combines two volumes into a single shape. The result is a large shade that seems to be made of blown glass, but is not. This was a difficult challenge to overcome, which the designer achieved by using polycarbonate. This striking lamp, with its exceptional light, strives to surprise all those who look at it.

This award was presented by the IF International Forum Design, the oldest independent design organisation in the world. Based in Hannover, this year marked its 67th edition, rewarding the best international design products and projects. It received almost 10,000 entries in 2020 from 3693 participants of 52 different nationalities.
